Overview

PetMed is designed to help you organise your pets’ medications and vet records. Your privacy matters, so this policy explains what information is (and isn’t) collected, how it is used, and the rights you have when using the app.

Information We Collect

• On-device data: Pet names, medications, reminders, vet records, and photos are stored locally on your device using Apple’s system frameworks (such as SwiftData). This information never leaves your device unless you back up your device or share it through Apple’s services.
• Analytics: We rely only on Apple’s App Store analytics (if you have opted in through Apple). These reports provide aggregated, anonymous insights such as downloads, crash logs, and feature usage. We do not see personal information or link analytics to individual users.

Information We Do Not Collect

• No personal identifiers (such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location).
• No pet data is transmitted to our servers—because we do not operate any servers for PetMed.

Data Usage

Your on-device data is used solely to provide the core features of the app: scheduling reminders, tracking medication history, and keeping vet records. Analytics provided by Apple are used to understand overall app performance and guide future improvements.

Third-Party Services

PetMed integrates with Apple frameworks, including UserNotifications, StoreKit, and SwiftData. When you make in-app purchases, StoreKit processes payments through your Apple ID according to Apple’s terms. Apple may collect diagnostic information and analytics in line with their privacy policy.

Children’s Privacy

PetMed is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. As the app stores information locally, guardians should review the app before allowing children to use it.

Your Choices

• You can delete pets, medications, and histories at any time from within the app.
• You can remove all app data by deleting PetMed from your device. If you reinstall the app, it will start fresh.
• To manage or disable Apple’s analytics, adjust your settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on your device.

This policy may be updated as the app evolves. The “Effective date” above will change to reflect the latest revision. You can review the most current version on the App Store listing or the linked policy page.
