Aurora
Visual design and implementation for Aurora at the 17th International Istanbul Opera and Ballet Festival.
I use AI-assisted video generation as part of an artistic process: developing moving-image material for projection, performance and installation. The starting point is a visual idea and the context in which it needs to work.
Generated material needs direction and selection. I develop a visual language through references and experiments, then shape the resulting images into sequences that support the project’s rhythm and atmosphere. Aurora and Echoing Travelogues show how this process can become part of a live stage environment.
We begin with the intended mood, visual references and the role of the images in the work. Early studies help establish what is achievable before developing a longer sequence. Continuity, format and timing are considered in relation to the final screen or projection surface.
