Video editing
I edit moving images with attention to rhythm, gesture and atmosphere. My approach grows out of work with dance, theatre and projection, where a cut changes the relationship between an image, a body and a sound.
Approach
Editing starts with what the material needs to communicate. I look at the movement within each shot, the progression between sequences and the way sound changes their meaning. The aim is a coherent piece that fits its intended viewing context, whether it is a screen or part of a live performance.
Working together
Share the footage you have, the intended duration and where the finished piece will be shown. We can establish the structure and visual direction before working through an initial edit and revisions. Delivery formats and any additional finishing needs are agreed around the project.
