Video mapping
I create projected images that respond to the space around them: a stage, an architectural surface or a landscape. Video mapping brings movement, light and narrative into dialogue with a physical place.
Approach
My work begins with the relationship between the image and its setting. The surface, audience viewpoint, performers and sound all shape the visual composition. For theatre, that can mean images developed around a scene’s rhythm; for an installation, it can mean a sequence composed around the texture and scale of a site.
Working together
A useful starting point is a description of the space, photographs or drawings of the projection surfaces, and the intended audience experience. We can then discuss visual references, timing and how the images will be integrated with the production’s technical setup.
